Links and the website
Well, I’m missing my website with all the links, articles and litter page and thought people visiting might miss those things a bit too. My cousin as always was genius enough to figure out that the website is actually all still there, don’t know why it doesn’t work correctly but I can call up each of the pages it seems. So I’m going to add links at the side here to a couple of the pages including the dew claw theory I did many years ago because I know some had linked to my page for that particular article. I also decided to add a link to the future litter page (as it was) and my links page. I might have to add more info about coming litters in blog form if the other site is not up before that time. If anyone has a particular request about something from the old page or something you’d like me to list then you’ll have to let me know.
Jamm, Rúnar made some chocolate mousse from Toro and it is just delicious I’m pigging out on it while I write. I love Toro products (they have so many gluten free things) of course they are from Norway! 
Nothing much going on today either at least I don’t remember anything if it is. Hehe We figured out today that the anxiety wrap actually DOES fit Skella. She isn’t so big under all that fur and luckily she has lost some weight since she came to us. We were so certain that it wouldn’t fit her that we didn’t even try it but it turns out it is a little bit on the smaller size but still fits and so we will be using it for awhile to see if we can calm her breathing and stress level down. Like we did with Birta when she first came back to us. It does wonders to actually treat the cause rather than just the symptoms, and once dogs are so stressed that they bark from anxiety then you know that they need to be calmed from the inside to get back to their normal self again. Lots of progress with Skella lately and we are thinking that she might just be able to be mated as soon as she comes into heat.
In terms of the best way to help her I’m trying to get a handle on my own anxiety and health problems and have decided to go back to my friend on Sunday for more treatment, she will be doing a bit of reflexology and rainbow massage with essential oils. I might learn some Indian dance (don’t know what it’s called exactly) from her either now or later, it apparently does wonders in healing. Again she phoned me at the same time I was thinking about calling her, it’s spooky when that happens. I had a weird dream the night before as well, I was picking up dog poop all over the countryside on a farm somewhere, with a woman friend I know now was actually her. She lives on a farm in the country that produces organic milk and meat. So I’m thinking it has something to do with either me going and spending money on treatment from her or that her and I were “cleaning” up my health. Well, alright laugh but it was worth a try finding an answer to that stupid dream. 
Something strange happened while I was in the bath tonight. Birta came running into the bathroom whining and excited, she jumped up on the side looked right at me and whined. I talked to her and told her to cut it out. Rúnar came in the bathroom to see what she was doing and I was talking to him when all of a sudden just after Birta did that I got a sharp pain in the back of my head and one of my “near fainting spells” (blackout for a split second) so immediately sat up, tried to focus my thoughts, took out the plug and decided it was time to get out of the bath. I regularly get these especially when muscle tension in my neck and shoulders is bad. How weird and at the same time good to know that even Birta has a connection to how I’m feeling, more like her mother than I realized. Hopefully the massage on Sunday will help.
Oh my goodness the disgusting practices of the bankers here in Iceland are all coming to light and slowly being uncovered through investigations. I bet they never thought they’d get caught, too bad eh? The regular citizens here just get more and more surprises, and it doesn’t let us off the hook at paying all the debts caused by these chosen few. Taxes will be raised to 50% next year so that’s just one more thing to look forward to…NOT. It has just come to light that the bankers were buying up salmon fishing licenses through agencies (or other people so they were not connected) to the best rivers in Iceland (they are horribly expensive and up to now have mostly been bought by very wealthy people like Princes) and inviting their friends then filing them as “consultant fees”. Obviously consulting with the fish helped them greatly on their quest to make money! And that was just one of the dirty handed things, the other is that they were granting loans to children of family members and friends in order to buy stocks because the law states that the bank is not allowed to own more than 10% in their own stocks, so they granted these loans without any other collateral. Apparently the loans were illegal and are not collectible so again the bankers get off Scott free. Here is a link to that story in English, it’s condensed for the English version of the paper. Well so much for my plan to be positive and not get myself into a rant. Every day is an adventure in Iceland and all we can do is sit back, shake our heads and take it. Why is NO ONE in jail?
